Share post:

AMC will begin accepting bitcoin as a means of payment for customers who want to pay for movie tickets and concessions with the cryptocurrency by the end of 2021. CEO Adam Aron made the announcement during an earnings call Monday.

This latest development comes as the world begins to address the prospect of technology that will allow customers to make payments using bitcoin and other forms of cryptocurrencies.

A clear example of this is the recent job opening at Amazon for a head of digital currency and blockchain products who will be part of the company’s payment acceptance and experience team, suggesting that the e-commerce giant could soon accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment.

The recent trend of establishing the cryptocurrency and others of its kind in the corporate world will undoubtedly be a big win for advocates of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
