Tech Experts Explain Improvements Needed Amid Delta Variant

Tech experts have outlined what companies need to do to prepare their IT departments for more remote work as a result of the rise of the Delta variant.

These preparations include changes in team cohesion, cloud investment and the need to reduce the burden on IT departments.

For many companies, a rethink of cloud and digital strategies is expected to do much to address many of the issues that arose during the pandemic, in particular the transition to remote working.

Going forward, tech experts have said there is an urgent need to equip workers with the skills, technologies, and knowledge to support themselves and other teams.

As one CIO explained, “Whether it’s educating employees on how to better engage with IT or empowering employees to adopt more digital skills, we have found that teams and our workforce are stronger when they are less reliant on IT for things that employees can address on their own.”
