Small Businesses Urged To Step Up To Retain Hybrid Workers

Share post:

A recent survey described an ineffective scheduling system for on-site and remote workdays as the most pressing issue in the move to a hybrid working model.

Other challenges identified in the study include the inability to provide remote workers with the tools they need to work with one of which includes laptops.

According to GetApp’s Tech at Work report, only 31% of small businesses provide laptops to some employees, with 48% of employees saying they spent between $100 and $500 of their money on a remote workspace.

To secure and maintain hybrid workers, companies should develop strategies such as IT-HR partnerships to help select tools and design for an successful and healthy hybrid work environment.

Companies are advised to consider a remote work stipend which, according to the GetApp survey, is a “rather low-risk but high-reward way in which HR can support a hybrid workforce that’s ready to shift locations in the case of a new crisis.”
