A Crypto-Trading Hamster Has Outperformed Warren Buffett

A hamster that has been trading in cryptocurrencies since June and has yielded higher returns than Warren Buffett and the S&P 500.

The name of the hamster is Mr. Goxx, and has been operating out of what may be the most high-tech hamster cage ever.

As Mr. Goxx runs on his hamster wheel, he chooses among dozens of cryptocurrencies. He then decides between two tunnels whether to buy or sell. Finally, the hamster’s decision is sent to a real trading platform where real money is involved.

Astonishingly, Mr. Goxx’s portfolio has risen nearly 20% since he began trading last June, according to the hamster’s Twitter account. As of September 12, Mr. Goxx had outperformed Bitcoin, the Nasdaq 100, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway and the S&P 500.

While this methodology is clearly random, it reminds everyone that the issue of where people get their financial advice from is definitely evolving.
