Twitch confirmed the breach, which saw more than 100GB of the company’s private data leaked online.

In a statement posted on Twitter, Twitch said it would “update the community as soon as additional information is available.”

On closer inspection of the leaked information, the document contains Twitch’s top earners and the millions of dollars they have earned over the past two years.

It shows payments made from August or September 2019 to October 2021 and ranked Dungeons & Dragons channel CriticalRole, Canadian xOC and American Summit 1g among the top earners on the platform.

In addition to salary details, the documents include the source code of the website and even technical details of products and platforms that the company has not yet released.

The anonymous poster, which shared links to the data online, said the leak was posted “to foster more disruption and competition” in video streaming while calling the Twitch community “a disgusting toxic cesspool.”
