Twitter Rollout Adds User Demanded ‘Disappearing Tweets’ Fix

Share post:

After promising back in September to address the problem of disappearing tweets, Twitter has finally released an update to address it.

With the new update, users can now choose when they want to upload new tweets to their timeline. To do so, users can click on the Tweet counter at the top of the interface.

It is important to note that while it is now available through the platform’s web client, it will not be immediately available to everyone due to the process of rolling out the update. Twitter clarified via its support handle: “An update to the disappearing Tweet experience is rolling out for web! Now you can choose when you want new Tweets to load into your timeline. Click the Tweet counter bar at the top.”

Twitter originally expressed deep concern about the problem, which allows its algorithm to load new tweets when users are still trying to enjoy some old tweets on their timeline. In its promise in September, the company assured that it would work to put an end to the problem through numerous updates that will come into effect in the next two months.
