Ukrainian Cyber Group Targets Russian Infrastructures

A Ukrainian cyber resistance group has issued plans for coordinated attacks on critical Russian infrastructure.

According to the group’s leader, Yegor Aushev, a Ukrainian businessman and local cybersecurity expert, the group’s actions are focused on ending the war.

“The goal is to make it impossible to bring these weapons into our country,” Aushev said.

Cyber attacks carried out by the group to stop Russia’s invasion include the destruction or defacing of dozens of Russian government and banking websites.

With the help of a team of hackers focused on Belarus, the hackers succeeded in attacking the Belarusian railway, which was allegedly used to transport Russian soldiers.

Aushev and his team will also help the Ukrainian military track down undercover Russian units invading cities and towns.

To achieve this goal, mobile phone tracking technology will henceforth be used to identify and locate undercover Russian military units throughout the country.
