How Leaders Can Utilize Remote Work To Guarantee Increased Productivity

Forrester’s Anywhere-Work Preflight Checklist Report outlines steps organizations need to take to make the most of remote and hybrid work.

According to the report, while business leaders can use remote and hybrid work to nurture talent, culture, and technology over time, if the strategy of adopting remote work is not implemented properly, it could lead to disastrous results.

Four tips that can help companies introduce remote or hybrid work include targeted interactions in the office, identifying challenges and barriers for employees, building a digital backbone, and reviewing and refining their strategy to avoid chaos and uncertainty.

In order to get the best out of their employees and ensure productivity, managers must avoid time for unnecessary meetings, as irrelevant meetings can lead to employees experiencing zoom fatigue or burnout in the office.

Managers can work with employees to identify the problems that arise from remote work, then leverage their workforce’s feedback and streamline processes when needed.

It is also important that organizations complement digital tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams with collaborative tools such as whiteboards and large-format digital displays. This the report believes will allow employees to cooperate on solving issues together.
