Clubhouse Teams Up With Stripe so Anybody Can Send Creators Money

Share post:

Clubhouse, the social audio chat app has partnered with Stripe to launch Clubhouse Payments. This allows all users to send money directly to speakers on the platform. The user just has to go to the corresponding speaker’s profile, tap the Send Money button and then choose the amount that they want to give.

A valid credit or debit card must be registered to make this transaction.

Stripe will not be taking a cut from what a creator gets but will be charging a minimal processing fee. As for Clubhouse, it will not be earning from each transaction albeit this can change once the feature becomes available to a wider audience.

Back in January, Clubhouse reportedly raised $100 million in funding in support of emerging creators.
