Nvidia’s RTX300 Cards Will Receive Anti-Mining Flags

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3000 graphic cards will receive an update this month that will slow the mining of the cryptocurrency Ethereum using hardware-level flags.

The American multinational technology company’s announcement on Tuesday detailed that most of the consumer-grade GPUs that come out the Nvidia’s factories ranging from the RTX 360 Ti to the RTX 3080, will feature a new sticker that displays “Lite Hash Rate,” or “LHR,” on the hardware, driver, and BIOS level.

Nvidia tried to do something about this crypto-mining problem with the RTX 360 in February.

This GPU launch promised to try to halve the Ethereum mining rates from their full potential.

The move was intended to discourage miners from buying up limited shares.

The new update will hopefully be more successful in slowing down the pace of cryptocurrency mining.

The company did not provide details of what changes are expected this time.
