Tesla Will Deliver Self Driving Taxi With Futuristic Look, Elon Musk

Telsa boss Elon Musk has announced that the company will produce self-driving taxis with a futuristic look.

The Tesla CEO also pointed out that the company will extend its “Full Self-Driving” to all North American FSD subscribers later in the year.

Tesla will produce its cybertruck and a humanoid robot called Optimus in 2023.

Musk made the announcement at the unveiling of Telsa’s new $1.1 billion factory in Texas, which will produce vehicles and its own battery cells.

While Musk did not specify a timeframe for the robo-taxi project, many expressed doubts about his predictions, which despite great optimism sometimes don’t come true.

The “Full Self-Driving” beta software was launched in late 2020. The software allows cars to navigate better through the streets of the city. Tesla sells the software for a whopping $12,000.

Tesla clarified, however, that the technology will not make its cars autonomous, as driver supervision is still needed.

Musk said the company has begun shipping the Model Y electric sport utility vehicles, which are made in Texas.

The plant in Texas will produce half a million Model Y cars each year, which will be available at a lower price as it helps the company compete with cheaper competitors.
