Apple Brings Back Iconic Wallpapers In iOS 16 Beta 3

Apple is bringing back the iconic clownfish wallpaper that Steve Jobs used when announcing the original iPhone in 2007. Some users have discovered the iconic wallpaper in the latest beta version of iOS 16.

“Some users appear to be seeing a new Clownfish wallpaper in iOS 16 beta 3. This is the wallpaper Steve Jobs used when the original iPhone was announced in 2007 — but it never actually ever shipped with any iPhone. Here we are 15 years later,” Mark Gurman tweeted.

It is important to note that Apple may not ship the wallpaper in iOS 16, although it is accessible to some beta testers.

Although the wallpaper is not spectacular, it attracts users because of its historical significance and nostalgic feel. Clownfish wallpaper reminds people of how they felt when the first iPhone came out.

The clownfish is a reminder not just of the device, but also how people felt when they first watched Jobs swipe across a screen and unlock a device that looked like magic.

The wallpaper is available on iOS 16 Beta 3. However, the wallpaper is not available for every user with iOS 16 Beta 3.

In the beta version of iOS 16, Apple introduced new upgrades to the iPhone operating system, including new notification design, notification animation, live activities, lock screen widget, and more.
