Employers Are Digitally Monitoring Employees At Home

Employers are using surveillance software to monitor the activities of remote workers.

Last week, ExpressVPN released recent survey results that revealed the mood among employees about telecommunications and employer surveillance.

The survey was conducted in April and surveyed 2,000 employers and 2,000 employees.

The survey results showed that employers are uneasy about working from home and use surveillance services.

78% of executives said they use software to track the work and performance of their employees.

74% of employers said that telecommunications force them to have insufficient control over their companies.

69% said that working from home makes them “uneasy” because they cannot personally supervise their employees.

57% said they do not trust their employees to work without personal supervision.

When it comes to employees, many of them feel uncomfortable being digitally monitored.

59% of workers find constant online monitoring unpleasant.

41% feel pressured to work overtime.

36% take fewer breaks.
