McDonald’s To Replace Humans With Machines In Drive-thrus

McDonald’s is starting to remove people from drive-thrus and replace them with machines.

According to a report by CNBC, the fast food chain has installed 10 AI robots at various McDonald’s around Chicago.

The company says it is experimenting with technology and voice commands.

While this is a technological advance for restaurants, it raises some concerns.

For example, machines such as these can often perform the jobs incorrectly and get orders wrong.

The McDonald’s CEO does not believe this will become the new normal in restaurants just yet.

“There’s a big leap from going to 10 restaurants in Chicago to 14,000 restaurants across the US, with an infinite number of promo permutations, menu permutations, dialect permutations, weather — and on and on and on,” he said.
