Quantum Computing The Future Of Many Sectors

Share post:

Organizations around the world, from across sectors in the healthcare, automotive, energy, and many others, are integrating quantum computing into their future plans.

Many sectors have found that classical computers are unable to solve the complex problems and challenges facing modern industries.

In the healthcare sector, Anthem, which operates multiple models on IBM’s quantum cloud quantum computers, has found that the company uses quantum computers for “computationally intense and expensive tasks such as Identifying anomalies, where there’s tons of data and interactions,” as well as longitudinal population health modelling and other ventures.

In the automotive sector, Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, uses quantum computing to solve a complex chemical problem associated with the development of energy-dense batteries such as lithium-sulfur batteries, whose quantum bits, known as qubits, give the algorithm a significant boost and speed up the simulation process and the feasibility of the battery.
